A 69 -year -old woman was linked to criminal proceedings for the crime of mistreatment against minors in real contest, after throwing hot water with a baby already her mother, in the center of Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez.
María Elena Pérez, 69, was prosecuted this Friday, March 21, for the events that occurred on February 25, according to judicial sources.
Pérez voluntarily appeared at a National Civil Police station (PNC) 18 days after having hidden, so she was captured and, this Friday, the first statement hearing was held.
During her statement, the syndicate said she fled her home due to threats, and pointed out that the fact was the result of a fight with the child’s mother.
