The Public Ministry (MP) points to Corado of the crimes of illicit association, money laundering or other assets and passive bribery.
On August 14, 2018, the authorities reported that they were looking for Corado for their alleged link with the case, but was not located. However, five other people were arrested.
Corado was appointed by the then President of the Republic, Otto Pérez Molina, as Minister of Communications, replacing Alejandro Sinibaldi, who was looking for the presidency with the extinct patriot party. However, it was subsequently linked to several cases of corruption and turned arrest orders against him.
In 2019, Sinibaldi gave himself to justice, after having been a fugitive for almost a year.
