A group of farmers who prepared their land for planting, on the skirts of the water volcano, discovered on Friday, March 28, the buried remains of what could be a child between 8 and 10 years, the volunteer firefighters and local media reported.
The finding was recorded in a property located on the road to San José to San Juan Altanango, Sacatepéquez, on the skirts of the water volcano.
Volunteer firefighters confirmed the finding of human remains, but did not provide details about the body status or the characteristics of the garments located in the place.
Members of the Rescue Brigade of the Western Central Region supported the recovery of a body that was buried in the skirts of the water volcano, indicates a message from the lifeguards on the social network X.
However, local media point out that it could be a child, although it will be the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) that determines it.
The publications add that in the place where the human remains were located there was also a red pants with two white lines to the sides, a blue shirt, chapulines shoes and a dark boxer.
They add that the lifeguards estimated that the remains would have been buried between one and two years.
