The test audience in the case of surgeon Kevin Malouf was suspended this Tuesday, February 25, due to misunderstandings and failures in the Judicial Agency System (OJ), official sources reported.
At the hearing on Tuesday, the evidence statement of the nurse Luis Castro was scheduled, but did not appear. The same happened with his defense lawyers.
The suspension of the audience is given days that another is celebrated, but of acceptance of charges, so it is feared that what happened on Tuesday affects the process.
The Fourth Criminal Court also attended those indicated in the case for the death of Floridalma Roque, Lydia Silva and Susana Rojas.
The crime of Roque is also indicated by surgeon Kevin Malouf, owner of the clinic in which Roque underwent cosmetic surgery, but disappeared and subsequently his remains were located in a well, on a farm in Escuintla.
The Malouf lawyer, Alejandro Arriaza, says that the suspension of this hearing does not affect the one scheduled for next March 5, and explained that the process of this day did not continue for four reasons.
He said that in the OJ there was no system, nor link to develop the audience virtually; In addition, he pointed out that the justice of the peace appointed by the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) that should be in Mariscal Zavala next to Malouf did not appear, and the same happened with Castro and his defender.
Malouf and three of his collaborators are pointed out of the disappearance and death of Floridalma Roque, who arrived at the doctor’s clinic to undergo an aesthetic procedure in the eyelids, but during the intervention there were complications and died.
