The disappearance of Claudia Pamela Rivasregistered in November 2025led the Public Ministry (MP) and the National Civil Police (PNC) to raid homes linked to the structure of the Lorenzanas and his escorts, in La Reforma and Huité, Zacapa.
According to the report of the Prosecutor’s Office against the Crime of Femicide of the MP and the PNC, homes of those allegedly responsible for the disappearance of Rivas were identified, who would also be linked to the death of other women in that department.
Agents from the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (DEIC) identified 31 properties of a structure linked to drug trafficking and deaths of women. Members of the Lorenzana clan would be responsible for the violent events.
The MP and the PNC carried out raids on the homes of the alleged drug traffickers and, in the village of La Reforma, in Huité, they identified the brother of Haroldo Lorenzana Terraza, alias “Haroldito”, whom the United States and Guatemalan authorities point to as the leader of the criminal structure.
According to the MP and Police database, Haroldito’s brother does not have an arrest warrant against him for criminal acts; “It is solvent,” the reports say. In another home in that same location, they identified the children and cousins of the ringleader.
According to the investigations, the Lorenzanas would be linked to the disappearance of Pamela Rivas and the deaths of other women.
During the operations on April 12, the Police captured three people, seized weapons and ammunition, located an arsenal and seized Q20 thousandin addition to rescuing two armadillos and a guayabera parakeet.
Raids in the Municipality of Huité
This April 13, the MP reported that it carried out operations in Huité due to the disappearance of Rivas. One of the proceedings was carried out in the municipality of that town and in properties where motorcycle taxi drivers operate.
“The Prosecutor’s Office against the Crime of Femicide, in coordination with the Metropolitan Regional Prosecutor’s Office and with the support of the National Civil Police, carries out search, inspection, registration and seizure of evidence in a property located in the municipality of Huité, Zacapa. This is carried out as a continuation of the proceedings carried out yesterday, in follow-up to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Claudia Pamela Rivas in the aforementioned municipality,” he indicated.

What happened to Claudia Pamela Rivas?
On November 28, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., the Isabel Claudina alert was activated, following the complaint filed by relatives of Claudia Pamela Rivas before the MP Women’s Prosecutor’s Office in Zacapa.
Rivas, 30 years old, originally from Huehuetenango, resident in the Guayacán neighborhood, Huité, municipality where she was last seen. She is a single mother, an auditor by profession, and worked as a financial director in the municipality of that town.
Two days after his disappearance, on November 30, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., prosecutors and agents of the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (DEIC) They inspected his residence. At the scene they located two motorcycle keys, one with a black key ring with the word “Pulsar.” According to the report, the objects were found by relatives, who presume that they do not belong to Rivas.
They also indicated that he previously worked in the municipality of Todos Santos Cuchumatán, Huehuetenango, and that since January 2024 he had been working in the commune of Huité.
That same week, on December 3, 2025, in a home in Huité, investigators located 15 clues, including computers, phones, documents and cash.
According to the MP, Q9,711.75 were seized, in addition to a cell phone, a USB memory, a hard drive, a laptop and three envelopes with Q700.
