The president of the United States, Donald Trump, talked about the permanence of Elon Musk in the government, while speculation about his future in the White House grows.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said on Thursday, April 3 that Magnate Elon Musk, his right hand and responsible for public spending cuts, will leave the government within “a few months.”
The Republican was interrogated by the press aboard the Air Force One about Musk, whose image has been affected by Tuesday’s elections to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, in which the conservative judge lost to which the businessman backed down.
“Elon is great. But he also has to direct a large number of companies,” Trump said about Musk, CEO of Tesla and Spacex, and owner of the social network X.
The Republican leader pointed out that “at some point Elon will have to leave” and, when consulted by a date, he replied: “in a few months”, although he added that he would like to stay “as long as possible.”
As reported on Wednesday the Political Portal and the ABC chain, Trump has told its surroundings, including members of its cabinet, which Musk will leave “in the coming weeks” the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), which was created for him to lead it.
The White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, described the exclusive “garbage” and said that Musk has always been planned to leave the government once “completed her incredible work” in Doge.
Musk’s great influence on Trump and the hard cuts he has promoted – with federal employees and closing historical agencies – has aroused suspicions even within the republican ranks.
