A video surveillance camera caught the moment when four subjects, which were traveling on two motorcycles, shot at a group of men who were on a sidewalk in the miracle and Quetzal city, in Zone 6 of Mixco. The fact caused the death of a 4 -year -old boy, reached by a lost bullet.
The attack occurred last Wednesday night, when hitmen arrived in motorcycles and opened fire against a group of men who, apparently, consumed liquor on the sidewalk. When they realized the presence of the aggressors, some ran through a alley.
In the recording it is observed that, seconds before the attack, a woman and her 4 -year -old son pass in front of the men who would be the target of the attack. However, the little boy and his mother were in the middle of the bullets, and one of them hit the child.
Seconds later, the video shows how the woman runs out of the alley with her son in her arms. The municipal firefighters transferred him to the emergency of pediatrics of the Roosevelt hospital, where, despite the effort of the doctors, the child died.
Three of the men who were the target of the attack were injured. Two remain in the same health center, where it was necessary to intervene them surgically, and another was already discharged, the Roosevelt press department reported.
A dog dies
During the armed attack a dog also died, who heard the detonations reacted against criminals.
The video shows how two dogs slept next to the subjects on the sidewalk and reacted to the shooting.
One of the dogs ran and put himself safe, but the other threw against the attackers and one of them shot him, causing death.
So far, the authorities have not given details of the armed event.
