Two alleged motorist robbers on the Inter-American route were captured by the National Civil Police (PNC) in the jurisdiction of Chimaltenango.
According to security forces, the capture of these alleged assailants was carried out after complaints were received from local residents, as well as from several affected people, about two men who were traveling on a motorcycle.
Agents from the 73rd police station mounted an operation to search for the alleged assailants, who were located and pursued until kilometer 59 of the route in question, where they were taken over by the agents.
The detainees were identified as Luis N, 43, alias “Murdock,” and Erick N, 19, alias “Dusky”who were driving on a motorcycle reported stolen in a sector of Mixco, in the department of Guatemala, on April 10 of this year.
Suspect with several admissions to prison
According to the PNC database, alias “Murdock” appears to have been admitted to prison six times in the years 2001, 2004 and 2005 for the following crimes:
- illegal carrying of firearm
- attempted aggravated robbery
- promotion and promotion of drug addiction
- heist
- possession for consumption
- aggravated robbery
The detainees are accused of committing assaults on motorists and pedestrians traveling along the Inter-American route, in the jurisdiction of Chimaltenango, for which they were sent to the corresponding court to resolve their legal situation, reported the National Civil Police.
