Days later, María Guadalupe realized that her son’s name appeared in all the newscasts of the country, because he was the man who had opened fire on the Pyramid of the Moon, in the Teotihuacán archaeological zonewhere killer at a Canadian tourist and injured 13 more people before taking his own life in front of the police.

Therefore, a call that María Guadalupe made to Hotel Villa Meztli, located in the municipality of Teotihuacán de Arista, during the afternoon of April 20, confirmed that Julio César Jasso had stayed there during the twelve days prior to the attack on the archaeological complex Mexican, northeast of Mexico City.

Given the circumstances, María Guadalupe asked about the whereabouts of her son and requested information about the Taxi that, as he had told him, he would pick him up. This is because, twelve days before, the aggressor had given him a cell phone number new because, according to what he told him, he had had problems with his phone former.

He was looking for his missing son

“I thought I had already gone a Taxi to pick him up, he was going to the airport. He told me: ‘When I get to the airport I’ll call you’, but he didn’t call me anymore. I called his number and he didn’t answer me,” said María Guadalupe Ramírez Valencia during the call to the Hotel Villa Meztli, in accordance with the information revealed by the Mexican news program Newscast.

Given this situation, from the Mexican state of Pueblamore than two hours from Teotihuacán, and without knowing the whereabouts of her son, the woman requested information about the vehicle that would have picked him up: “I wanted to see if it was possible to know which taxi went to, through there, see. “I am worried that he is not answering,” he said in communication with the hotel.

However, it was not until the night of last Monday, April 20, when the Ramirez family learned, through the Mexican media, that Julio César Jasso had been identified as the responsible of the armed attack in the Teotihuacán area and that he had allegedly planned several months in advance.

The attacker sought to avoid being traced

The investigations of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) demonstrated that last Tuesday, April 14, six days before the attack in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán, Julio César Jasso Ramírez bought an analog phone and, with this movement, he would have sought avoid being tracked by the authorities.

In turn, the official investigation demonstrated that Julio César Jasso Ramírez acted alone and prepared the attack with at least two months in advance, since on Tuesday, February 17, he contacted the Hotel Villa Meztli to book a room from Wednesday, April 8 to Monday, April 20, the day he arrived in Teotihuacán and shot against 14 people.
