The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) reported on April 29 regarding the capture of Erika María “N”, alleged responsible for the death of former beauty queen Carolina Flores, in Polanco.
Through several publications on social networks, Mexican authorities reported that Erika was detained in Venezuela and is the main suspect in the death of Flores, a 27-year-old girl whose case became media coverage because the suspect is her own daughter-in-law.
“After the events, the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office began the investigation that made it possible to establish his probable participation. Based on the evidence collected, on April 17, 2026 — one day after the complaint was filed — the corresponding arrest warrant was obtained from a control judge,” indicated the Mexican prosecutor’s office.
Additionally, authorities shared a photograph of Erika on social networks at the time of her capture.
The FGJCDMX added that a notification was processed red by Interpol to begin the international search for Erika.
