The president of USA, donald trump, has turned its image into a recurring element within official symbols, public documents and emblematic buildings, in a series of initiatives that reinforce its presence in the institutional life of the country.
The measures, promoted by different federal agencies and political allies, aim to consolidate a visual legacy before concluding his mandate and have generated debate about the limits between presidential representation and personal promotion.
New commemorative passports will include his face
The most recent action corresponds to the launch of new commemorative passports for him 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
According to the official announcement, the documents will include Trump’s face next to the Declaration of Independence and the American flag. In addition, one of the interior pages will bear the president’s signature in gold.
The decision has provoked mixed reactions, as it is a national identification document traditionally far from political personalism.

Trump-branded bills and coins
The presence of the president will also reach the monetary system. He Treasury Department informed that his signature will appear in future dollar billsan unprecedented measure for a sitting president.
The issuance would be scheduled before 4th of july and, according to the Government, it seeks to highlight the economic results of the current administration.
Added to this is the approval of a 24k gold commemorative coin with the image of Trump resting his fists on a desk, currently displayed in the Washington National Portrait Gallery.
However, the design has been questioned by experts and critics, due to regulations that restrict the representation of sitting presidents in currency.
Its image also reaches parks and public spaces
Outside the monetary sphere, the presidential image has also expanded to the urban landscape of Washingtonwhere large-format photographs cover the facades of public buildings.
Additionally, Trump’s face appears on the annual passes of the national parksdistributed as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
In this way, access to natural reserves, mountains and forests also incorporates the official image of the president.
Emblematic institutions adopt his name
The strategy of positioning his last name has also reached symbolic institutions in the American capital.
Last December, the State Department presented the new façade of the United States Institute of Peacenow labeled “Donald J. Trump United States Peace Institute.”
Weeks later, the historic Washington Kennedy Centerthe capital’s main performing arts venue and official memorial to John F. Kennedywas renamed by its board of directors as the “Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Center.”
The decision generated discomfort in the Kennedy family and reopened the debate about the political use of historic cultural institutions.
Failed attempts at airports and stations
Trump also proposed, without success, renaming the airport Washington-Dulles and the station Penn Station of New York with his name.
The proposal would have arisen as a condition to release federal funds for a railway project valued at about US$16 billion.
Trump also bets on cryptocurrencies
The expansion strategy of the president’s personal brand also reached the digital market with the launch of a cryptocurrency linked to Donald Trump, promoted among his supporters as a new form of political and financial support.
This was launched shortly before the president took office in January 2025.
