The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that it captured a Colombian person who carried the equivalent of Q117 thousand 865 and who did not present documents regarding the origin of money.

The capture took place on April 4 at night as part of the operation installed at kilometer 41 route to the Atlantic, in San Antonio La Paz, El Progreso.
According to information released by the PNC in its social networks, agents of the airport and border posts division (DipaFront) consigned to the Colombian Nelio T of 53 years.
He adds that this person was driving as a co-pilot in a Honda CRV truck, P-634KWM and when checking it, they detected that he was wearing a mariconera backpack which he had inside Q9 thousand 970 and US $ 13 thousand 947, for the equivalent of Q117 thousand 865, in addition to two cell phones that, according to the police entity, will serve to continue with the investigations.
The detained person did not present any document of the origin of the money, in addition to that according to anti -drug investigators, he has an antecedent for drug trafficking in 2011, and was imprisoned in a United States prison for that crime, the PNC added.
