In a production that uses technology to reimagine Luffy’s adventures, Netflix is inspired by the East Blue saga of the original manga by Eiichiro Oda and announces the premiere of The One Piece.
This adaptation will have a world premiere with a first season of seven episodes, which together will last about 300 minutes, Netflix highlighted. The pirate saga will take Monkey D. Luffy on adventures before meeting his crew.
With the simultaneous premiere of all its episodes, the series will be produced by the WIT studio, in collaboration with Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation Co., and will arrive on Netflix in February 2027.
For this production, Netflix highlighted that The One Piece It will use cutting-edge visual technology that will give a new image to the story, differentiating itself from the manga.
Through Tudum, the platform highlighted that the production narrates the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, an aspiring pirate.
The One Piece will address the beginnings of the original manga from the East Blue saga and will present the first 50 chapters of the manga in seven episodes.
The animated series was announced after the success of the adaptation live action from Netflix, which expects a third season.
