A 17-year-old boy was arrested by the New York Police for the murder of a man near Times Squareas announced by the authorities on May 7.
The authorities indicated that the young man would have committed the crime for a viral challenge on social networks.
The young man was arrested last Wednesday and is accused of stabbing a 39-year-old man identified as Leónidas Baez. The incident occurred on a street near Times Square, around midnight.

The authorities are still searching for the two accomplices of the arrested young man.
