The countdown continues to advance to the inauguration of the FIFA World Cup 2026where 48 teams will compete for the highest international soccer trophy. This event, which has established itself as the largest organized by FIFA, will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The list of artists who will perform at the inaugurations was announced one day after it was revealed that the Colombian singer Shakira will perform the official anthem of this edition, titled Dai Dai.
International media highlight that this edition will have three inaugurations, one for each host country. Through its official website, FIFA revealed part of the list of artists who will perform at each inauguration.
Mexico will be the host country that will begin the meetings of the FIFA World Cup 2026 next June 11. It will be the Mexico City Stadium that will bring together the artists who will participate in the opening ceremony, where they will perform hits that are part of the official album of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Artists such as Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná and Tyla will be part of the inauguration of Mexico. This presentation will be followed by those of Canada and the United States, on the day of the opening of matches in their respective countries.
FIFA highlighted that the presentations, produced in creative collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio, will have a common thread that will lead the three ceremonies to reinterpret the FIFA World Cup trophy, but with the style of the culture of each nation.
“Starting in Mexico City and continuing in the coming days with Toronto and Los Angeles, these ceremonies will bring together music, culture and football,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
It will be at 11:30 a.m. in Mexico when the musical presentation will begin, since, according to the FIFA website, it will begin 90 minutes before the match.

The second presentation will be by Canada, which on June 12, at 1:30 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. Guatemala time), will give way to its participation in the World Cup, where artists such as Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince will perform.
In that opening, Canada will face Bosnia and Herzegovina, but 90 minutes before the game the artists will take the audience on a tour of the country’s culture.
That same June 12, the United States will hold its inauguration in Los Angeles, where artists such as Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Lisa, Rema and Tyla will headline the celebration.
The event, which will also begin 90 minutes before the match between the United States and Paraguay, will begin at 4:30 p.m. local time (3:30 p.m. in Guatemala).
For this World Cup, 16 cities will host the maximum football celebration, which will take place between June and July 2026 for a total of 104 matches.
