With hugs, smiles, dances and words of affection, mothers participated in a celebration dedicated to recognize your effort and dedication at homeprior to Mother’s Daywhich in Guatemala is commemorated every May 10.
The activities were accompanied by presentations and special messages from the students, who took advantage of the moment to thank them for the support and love they receive from their mothers.
Stories of struggle and perseverance
Wendy Licardie, mother of three children, shared part of her experience as a mother and recalled that three years ago she was widowed, a situation that represented one of the most difficult moments for her family.
“My husband died due to illness, but we had very good family foundations and that made us continue the same legacy and the same education with my children.”, he expressed.
Licardie said that, despite the difficulties, she managed to maintain order and stability in her home with her children.
For her part, Zulma Estrada, mother of five children, described what the dynamics are like within her family.
“It is a home in constant movement, super happy. We don’t have time to get bored”, he commented.
Gabriela Rivera, who was identified as the youngest mother at the establishment and also a former student, highlighted the special meaning that returning now as a mother has for her.
“I had the joy of studying here, so everything they do and prepare with love for the activities has always been super nice.“, said.
They appreciate the love of their mothers
The students also They dedicated messages of gratitude and admiration to their mothers during the activity.
Sebastián, son of Gabriela Rivera, expressed: “Thank you for being my mom and for everything you have done for me.”.
Christian Licarde highlighted his mother’s strength in the face of difficult circumstances. “She is a very feisty woman who, despite the circumstances, has managed to get ahead.”, he stated.
Samir, son of Zulma Estrada, assured that one of the qualities he most admires about his mother is her perseverance.
“He is extremely persevering and helps me with responsibility and being a better man every day.”, he expressed.
