The final of Clausura 2026 is defined this Saturday, May 23, when Xelajú MC receives Municipal at the Mario Camposeco stadium. Quetzaltenango is also preparing for an extensive security operation during the final. The city remains under yellow alert since May 21 and more than 300 agents of the National Civil Police will guard the surroundings of the Mario Camposeco stadium to guarantee order before, during and after the match.
The authorities also plan to install giant screens in different parts of the city, including Parque Centroamérica, so that fans who cannot enter the stadium can follow the game. The final promises to become a historic night for the Altense fans, regardless of the result.
