PNC receives a report of theft after an alleged raid orchestrated by police and MP personnel

An alleged break-in at a residence registered this Wednesday in a sector of Fraijanes, left a robbery, according to the report of a complaint received by agents of the National Civil Police (PNC).

The complaint states that when a man was having breakfast with his mother, they observed that three heavily armed men dressed as PNC agents entered their home; while another wore clothing with insignia of the Public Ministry (MP).

The man explains that when he approached to speak with the alleged agents, they used force and verbal threats, indicating that they were coming for him, for allegedly invading property.

The man explained that due to the harshness of the event, his mother fainted, which made the situation even worse, since the alleged agents seemed determined to take him away.

After he explained that he is not the owner of the property, but that he occupies it legally due to having a lease contract, the uniformed officers received communication with external people.

The instruction was to search the home in search of drugs and cash, a situation that lasted a few minutes while the tenant of the home could not observe the inspection.

He was then warned that he had to leave the property because there was an eviction order, causing the agents to leave the home, which was left completely disordered, according to the report.

But the alleged agents who raided the property allegedly stole a watch valued at Q20,000 and a hopper of ammunition valued at Q700, according to the complainant’s report.

The authorities are investigating the case to determine if they are agents who abused their position to commit a crime, or if they are individuals who obtained clothing similar to that of the authorities that would be used to commit a crime.
