A few weeks ago, the queen of pop She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, after being arrested two months earlier, on March 4.
Subsequently, she voluntarily entered a rehabilitation center and was sentenced to 12 months of probation, in addition to seeing a psychologist and psychiatrist.
According to some media reports, she was also sentenced to pay a fine of US$517 (about Q3,940) and must attend a 30-hour course for drivers who have driven under the influence of alcohol.
On that occasion, when an officer told her that if she killed someone while driving drunk she could be charged with murder, she responded:
“Yes, sir, I know. My mother accidentally killed a man on a bicycle… but I’ve never done that before.”
And it’s true. According to TMZ, Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, admits in her 2008 memoir, Through the Stormhaving run over and caused the death of 12-year-old Anthony Winters while taking his brother to a hospital in Kentwood, Louisiana.
