Xelajú MC and Municipal define the Clausura 2026 champion tonight at the Mario Camposeco Stadium, in a final that promises strong emotions in Quetzaltenango. The Superchivos are forced to overcome the resounding 4-1 loss suffered in the first leg to win the title.
The Quetzaltecan team needs a victory by four goals to be crowned champion directly or by three goals to force extra time. The mission looks complicated, but in Xela they still believe in a historic comeback against their fans.
Municipal, for its part, arrives with the advantage and peace of mind of having the title very close. The Reds only have to avoid a four-goal defeat to lift their 33rd crown and become the winningest club in the history of Guatemalan football.
The series also revives a historical rivalry between both teams, which already met in the 2010 and 2012 Clausura finals with a title for each. Referee Mario Escobar Toca will be in charge of directing one of the most anticipated matches of the year in Guatemala.
