The Dominican singer of Merengue Rubby Pérez died on Tuesday, April 8, at age 69, after the collapse of the roof of a disco in Santo Domingo, where he offered a concert, confirmed to the AFP his manager, Enrique Paulino.
It is correct, Paulino said when referring to the death of Pérez, whose real name was Roberto Antonio Pérez Herrera.
According to international media, Pérez would have noticed that something strange happened, as he remained motionless for a few seconds.
A video that circulates on social networks shows the seconds before the tragedy, when Pérez even puts his hand to the face, because he had apparently noticed that something was about to happen.
A few hours after the collapse, Zulinka Pérez, daughter of the merenguero, revealed to local media that his father used his powerful voice to listen to him and be rescued.
However, fourteen hours after the tragedy, doctor Micaías Pérez, brother of the meringuero, clarified that the artist had not been taken out of the rubble.
It was about 9 pm in Tuesday when Enrique Paulino, manager of the artist, confirmed the death of Rubby Pérez.
