The Municipal Transit Police (PMT) of the capital reports that unionists of the Magisterium are being organized in the Plaza El Obelisco to demonstrate this Thursday, April 10.
Amílcar Montejo, road spokesman of the PMT, indicated that they have observed buses with protesters who have entered from the inter -American route and also from the El Incense bridge.
He added that there is a concentration of protesters on the Roosevelt road and the 14 avenue in Zone 11.
Montejo added that the tour could be from the Obelisk to Reforma Avenue, to pass in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education, and then go to the Civic Center.
Alternate routes
As alternate routes, recommended the Vista Hermosa clover, Liberation Boulevard, La Castellana Avenue and the Don Bosco Avenue sector. He also recommended Bolívar Avenue, peripheral ring, Atanasio Tzul, Elena Avenue, Martí Street and La Asunción Boulevard.
Details of the demands of the trade unionists are still unknown.
On Wednesday, April 9, a civil court granted a provisional protection to the Ministry of Education and ordered the Union of Education Workers of Guatemala to refrain from executing de facto measures announced for this Thursday.
