Earlier this month, the singer Espresso had obtained a temporary order against William Applegate, who was accused of visiting his Los Angeles residence on several occasions without authorization before showing up at the front door of the home on May 23.
In her complaint, the singer described the man as a complete stranger in whom she has no interest.
According to the same outlet, Applegate represented himself during a hearing held on Wednesday and claimed that he and Carpenter were supposedly part of a “classified government military program.” In addition, he claimed that they should be together to “save the world.”
Superior Court Judge David Wasserman determined that there is strong evidence that Applegate was aware of his actions and that his conduct would have caused serious emotional distress to anyone in a similar situation.
In addition, he prohibited him from communicating with her by any means and from possessing firearms.
The order also protects the singer’s sister, Sarah Carpenter, and her partner, George Smith, who live with her at her Hollywood Hills residence.
