Six teams, dozens of students and the same objective: to bring the name of Guatemala to one of the most important stages of the educational robotics on a global scale.
This Saturday the national qualifiers who will compete in the final of the World Robot Olympiad were announced, which will take place in December, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The teams were selected in different competition categories, such as robotic mission, in which robots must complete challenges on a track; innovators of the future, where participants create technological solutions to real problems; engineers of the future, focused on the design and programming of autonomous systems; and robotic sport, in which teams compete through strategy and technology.

The representatives come from different parts of the country and bring together very different stories: from eight-year-old children who take their first steps in robotics to 22-year-olds who are already developing more complex projects.
For many of them, this trip represents more than a competition. It is the opportunity to demonstrate that Guatemala can also create, innovate and compete in science and technology.

Now the countdown begins: training, tests and preparation to stand out among the best in the world.
The final competition was held at the facilities of the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, for the second consecutive year.
