A couple accused of causing the death of their 2-month-old son was captured by agents from Police Station 16, in compliance with arrest warrants for the crime of patricide, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Monday, June 22.
The first person captured was Bianca “N”, 21 years old, in the Monte Verde neighborhood, zone 4 of Mixco, wanted by a Guatemalan court since last June 16, the PNC stated.
While the woman was taken to a court for the corresponding procedures, her partner, Edgar “N”, 30 years old, showed up to request information about her. However, the agents verified that he also had a current arrest warrant, issued by the same court, on the same date and for the same crime, for which he was immediately detained, the institution added.
According to the investigation, both are presumed responsible for the death of their son, which occurred on September 18, 2025.
According to the PNC, the minor died as a result of lacerations, blows and bites.
In an attempt to save his life, the mother moved the baby to a lifeguard headquarters; However, when he arrived at the scene, the child had already died, the police report indicates.
“It was established that the Attorney General’s Office had previously removed other children from this couple due to abuse and exposing them to asking for money in public,” the PNC added.
