More rain
Rains could intensify in Guatemala during the next few days due to the passage of two eastern waves that will affect the national territory between June 22 and 27, reported the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh).
Until June 20, nine eastern waves had been recorded in the country. The tenth entered this June 22 and the eleventh is expected between June 26 and 27.
Edwin Rojas, director of Insivumeh, explained that these systems will favor the entry of abundant humidity and conditions of atmospheric instability, which will increase cloudiness and precipitation in much of the national territory.
For the period between June 22 and 28, rain accompanied by electrical activity is forecast during the afternoon and early evening, mainly from the south to the center of the country.
