Pixar presented the first images of the short film Loving Doryas published deadline.
During a Pixar session at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the studio presented exclusive preview footage of Loving Doryshort film directed by Madeline Sharafian and Domee Shi, with the participation of Houssam Hamou-Lhadj.
Pixar producer Mary Alice Drumm confirmed that Ellen DeGeneres will return to voice Dory.
At the event it was also revealed that Thomas Newman, original composer of the saga, will participate as executive producer. In addition, Nami Melumad composes the production’s soundtrack.
The new production, according to Hamou-Lhadj, shows Dory, who this time finds a white plastic bag containing a tube of sunscreen. The bag fell from a boat that is on the coral reef where Dory and Nemo live.
However, when filled with water, the bag looks like a spectral sea creature and Dory mistakes it for a jellyfish. Thus begins a strange underwater idyll, according to deadline.
The activity also showed some scenes from the upcoming film set in Venice: Gatto.
The story of Gatto revolves around an Italian cat who lives in the iconic lagoon city of Venice. The production will feature the voices of Mark Ruffalo (Nero) and Laurence Fishburne (Rocco, boss of the feline mafia).
The premiere of Gatto It is scheduled for March 2027.
