Government authorities participated this Friday, April 11 in the Aldea El Paredón Buena Vista, Sipacate, Escuintla, in the inauguration of the National Prevention System in Holy Week of Guatemala (Sinapress).
President Bernardo Arévalo, in his speech, recalled the fire that affected El Paredón, which, like other places, will be visited by national and foreign this week.
He said that Guatemala is a country rich in natural, cultural and historical attractions and attractions. He indicated that the country has the responsibility of caring for visitors so that they can recreate safely. In addition, the natural environment must be taken to be attractive.
He stressed that an important coordination work is carried out so that travelers are safely mobilized by the roads and places they will visit. He assured that the wall is ready to receive the Veraneantes.
Claudinne Ogaldes, Executive Secretary of the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED), explained that Sinapress will be executed in three modalities nationwide.
The first consists of institutional management positions that will be located in tourist areas, such as beaches and areas of religious activity, as well as roads.
The second modality includes prevention and tourist assistance bays, which will inform about safety risks and plans, in order to improve the experience of Veraneantes.
The third modality is focused on monitoring processional tours, with the purpose of guaranteeing the safety of participants in these activities. There will also be the presence of different institutions that will ensure public security and order.
According to Conred, the objective is to provide special and effective attention to the population that will mobilize to different recreation centers, processional courtships and roads of the Guatemalan territory during the major week.
Sinapse 2025 will be in force for 10 days, starting this Friday, April 11, and will be deactivated on Sunday, April 20 at 6:00 p.m.
More than 30 Conred system institutions will provide prehospital care services, information, safety and road care for national and foreign veraners.
The monitoring of processional tours will be carried out in the city of Guatemala, Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepéquez and Quetzaltenango, with the support of different brotherhoods.
