The Mexican actress and screenwriter Eréndira Ibarra is devastated after the earthquakes in Venezuela recorded on June 24, who took the lives of several of their loved ones, according to reports.

Her voice broke when she confirmed that among the fatal victims of the earthquakes was her husband’s cousin, along with his entire family.

My husband’s cousin died along with his entire family, so in my house there is a lot of pain. I would like to be with my family. The family is spread all over the world. But there is also a clear awareness that this was a tragedy and no one can prevent it,” he shared.

During the interview, the artist compared the catastrophe with some Mexican scenarios, in order to exemplify the magnitude of the damage and invite the public to empathize with what is experienced in Venezuela.

“The only way to describe to people what happened in Venezuela is if we thought that, Instead of just one building falling in Nuevo León, 60 fell at the same time in a very small area. In other words, it’s as if three entire Tlatelolcos had fallen,” he said.

Ibarra also took advantage of the space to make a call and ask for support for Venezuelans, predicting that it will be a long time before they can recover from the tragedy.

I want to take advantage of the moment to ask for support. What’s coming is long. There are going to be many years of recovery. (…) If you have a Venezuelan person in your life, now more than ever, hug them,” invited the actress of Ungovernable and The Aparicio..
