The Tenth Court of Criminal Sentencing sentenced Kimberly Dayan Carolina Rodas Martínez, alias “La Tiradora”, to 20 years of incommutable prison.
In a hearing held this Friday, July 3, Rodas Martínez, a member of the Barrio 18 gang, was found guilty of the crime of attempted murder.
In its resolution, the Court considered that, despite the scant evidence, it managed to prove that the convicted woman is responsible for an armed attack recorded on March 14, 2025, in the Kennedy neighborhood, zone 18 of the capital. A man was injured in the attack.
As an accessory penalty, it also suspended the convicted woman from exercising her political rights for the duration of the sentence.
According to the investigation by the Public Ministry, the accused would have shot her victim in the back repeatedly, who was taken to a care center.
He added that after shooting, he tried to escape on a motorcycle driven by a still unidentified accomplice.
During the journey, both had hit a car. After the crash, the alleged attackers fled on foot and left the motorcycle and a helmet abandoned near the scene of the attack. These were the arguments presented by the investigating entity during the hearing on May 14, 2025, when the now sentenced woman was linked to the trial.
