“Today we celebrate that we reached the goal of Q21 million, but above all we celebrate the union of thousands of Guatemalans who made this path possible. Thank you for being there, for believing and for transforming solidarity into opportunities,” Teletón published on its social networks.

The Telethon concluded its 40th edition with Q21,949,378, exceeding the established goal by Q315,954, after a national day that brought together families, artists, presenters, volunteers, companies, media and thousands of donors around the same purpose: keeping rehabilitation opportunities open for those who need them, says the official closing statement of Telethon 2026.

The Telethon began on Friday night and, for 27 uninterrupted hours, carried out the fundraising activity at the Las Cumbres Convention Center, in San José Pinula.

Among the figures who came together to support Teletón were María Celeste Arrarás, Héctor Sandarti, Mónica Noguera, Aleks Syntek, Ilegales, Niurka, Alexa —former member of Timbiriche—, Pablo —former member of MDO—, La Kuarta, from Costa Rica, and the group TREX.

Háncer Pérez, Paola Chuc, Zelaya, Ale Mendoza, Teniente, FlashBack Machine, Andrés Torres, “El Topo”, Gaby Luna, Geral Aular, Michelle Cruz, Cynthia Bagué, Adrián Alburez, Víctor Urrutia and Gaby Asturias also participated.

The funds raised during the campaign are allocated to the technical and institutional support of the centers: specialized personnel, equipment, maintenance, supplies and care in the interior of the country.

“Reaching the goal on the 40th anniversary does not only represent the successful closing of a television program. It means that thousands of children, young people and adults will be able to continue their processes of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, language therapy, early stimulation, psychological care and family support,” indicates the Teletón statement.

Fundabiem’s national network is made up of 19 centers and clinics distributed in 17 departments.
