Daniel Siad, an alleged recruiter of victims for sexual exploitation of the American pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead on the outskirts of Paris, where he lived, without the precise circumstances of his death being known at this time, the French press reported this Wednesday.

The man, born in Algeria 69 years ago, but naturalized Swedish and living in the town of Colombes (northwest of Paris, in the Hauts-de-Seine department), was the subject of several accusations of rape that arose following the declassification of the Epstein case files at the beginning of this year.

In these documents, the Swede’s name appears thousands of times. It is suspected that he recruited models around the world to offer them to Epstein. Siad denied the accusations and presented himself as “a family man.”

The diary Le Parisien points to cardiac arrest as the probable cause of the death of the sixty-year-old, whose body was found lifeless by his roommate, a 28-year-old woman, who reportedly found him inert on the kitchen floor.

Justice opened an investigation to elucidate the circumstances of the death.

Epstein had one of the nerve centers of his sexual exploitation network in Paris and owned a luxurious apartment at number 22, the exclusive avenue Foch, in the French capital.

For this reason, the French Prosecutor’s Office opened investigations into the local ramifications of the Epstein case, both in relation to possible sexual crimes that occurred in the country, in which Siad would be involved, and for possible financial crimes.

After Siad’s death, the prosecutor of the Paris Court, Laure Beccuau, issued a statement in which she specified that investigations into the network of people around Siad will continue.

“So far, thanks to this work of documentary analysis and a call addressed to the victims made by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office, 24 women have come forward or have been identified, who have reported the acts of which they have been victims or have testified about acts that could have been committed by both Daniel Siad and other defendants,” he explained.

Due to the international dimension of the case, Beccuau indicated that a request for judicial assistance has been sent to the United States and that it is also collaborating with Poland through Eurojust.
