The Guatemala National Team already knows the group it will integrate into the 2026-2027 Concacaf Nations League. The draw held this Wednesday, July 23, determined that the Bicolor will compete in the Group B of League Aalong with Honduras, Jamaica, Suriname, Martinique and El Salvador.
Although the group is made up of six teams, League A will maintain the Swiss format implemented by Concacaf. Each team will compete four gamestwo as a local and two as a visitor, so Guatemala will not face all the members of its sector.
The Confederation will later publish the official calendar and the group stage pairings.
The group stage will be played from September 21 to October 6, 2026. At the end of that stage, the two first places in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will join Mexico, United States, Canada and Panamateams that obtained the direct pass for occupying the first four positions in the Concacaf Ranking.
The quarterfinals will be played in round-trip series. November 9 to 17, 2026while the League A Finals were scheduled from March 25 to 28, 2027.
In addition to defining the tournament champion, the 2026-2027 Concacaf Nations League will also serve as one of the qualification pathways for the Gold Cup 2027a contest that will bring together the best teams in the region.
With the group already defined, Guatemala will begin preparation for a new participation in the highest category of the regional tournament, waiting for Concacaf to publish the official calendar and confirm which will be the four rivals that Bicolor will face in the group stage.
