Aurora FC and Guastatoya open their participation in the 2026 Apertura Tournament this Saturday, July 25 at 3:00 PM at the Cementos Progreso Stadium where the Aurinegros will debut their new home venue after leaving the Guillermo Slowing stadium in Amatitlán.
The team led by Saúl Phillip arrives at the new tournament after a complicated Clausura where it failed to qualify for the next phases and will seek to get off to a good start against a Guastatoya team that also closed the previous tournament with an irregular performance.
Both teams arrived at Apertura 2026 with several additions to their squads seeking to strengthen their squads and compete better in the new championship.
Aurora, which shares the Cementos Progreso with Comunicaciones as the new headquarters, will try to take advantage of the home field to add its first three points of the tournament while Guastatoya will seek to surprise as a visitor and start the championship with a victory that will give it confidence for the next few days
