At least six people were shot dead last night south of Guatemala City, in circumstances that are being investigated, as confirmed this Sunday by the relief forces.
The armed attack, which left two other people injured, It occurred in Villa Canales, according to municipal firefighters.
The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The massacre took place in the sector called Boca del Monte, outside a residence, according to local media.
Last April, five people were murdered inside a cevicheria in the north of Guatemala City, allegedly at the hands of gang members.
Murders with firearms increased by 3.8% in the Central American country during 2025 compared to 2024, according to official calculations.
