Content generator Pako GT gives his version of the armed attack in Boca del Monte

During the wake of his parents and his brother, three of the seven fatal victims of the armed attack that occurred last Saturday in Boca del Monte, Villa Canales, the content generator Francisco Tello Reyes, known on social networks as Pako GT, rejected the accusations that link his family with illicit activities and assured that they were never related to these types of events.

The statements were offered this Tuesday, July 28, while family, friends and neighbors said goodbye to Francisco Tello, María Eugenia Reyes and Boris Tello in the home where the family lived for approximately 35 years.

As Pako GT explained, they decided to hold a vigil for their relatives in that building to honor their memory and respond to the versions that circulated on social networks after the attack.

“Here we grew up, here my parents brought us and here the entire neighborhood knows what we were like as a family. We never took bad steps,” he said.

The content creator assured that, after the tragedy, comments emerged stating that his family was dedicated to illicit activities, a version that he rejected.

A family dedicated to baking

Pako GT related that long before becoming known on social networks, the family was dedicated to baking.

He said that his father, Francisco Tello, was a baking technician and worked for years at Molinos Modernos, where he acquired the knowledge that he later taught to his children.

“My dad taught me to be a baker, he took me on his trips and he always taught me baking,” he recalled.

As he explained, all the members of the family learned the trade and made bread to sell to the neighbors in the area.

Boris Tello, the youngest of the brothers, was a pastry chef and continued the family trade. In addition, he left a nine-year-old son.

“We made bread here at home for the neighbors,” he said.

The origin of “La Mi Amor”

Pako GT recalled that his family’s popularity began during the pandemic, when he began recording videos with his mother, María Eugenia Reyes, known on social networks as “La Mi Amor.”

He explained that her spontaneous expressions made the content go viral.

“We went viral because of the phrases she said. People believed she mistreated me, but everything was with love. What she transmitted to me was pure love,” he recalled.

The survivors

The family consisted of parents and three children. After the attack, only Pako GT and his brother Brandon Tello survived.

Brandon Tello has been a volunteer firefighter in Boca del Monte for five years.

Pako GT reported that both survived because they were in different parts of the house when the attack occurred.

According to their version, that day they were celebrating a neighbor’s birthday when armed men entered the property and started shooting.

He added that he was in the living room with his daughter when the attackers broke into the house and that, apparently, the target was Kevin, one of the people who attended the celebration and who died during the attack.

He indicated that Brandon remained in his room and therefore was not injured.

He also explained that his parents were having dinner in the area where the meeting was taking place. María Eugenia Reyes planned to start a live broadcast from her “La Mi Amor” account at 9 p.m.

“It wasn’t the way they deserved to die.”

With his voice breaking, Pako GT remembered his parents and brother as a united and hard-working family.

“We always told each other that we loved each other. My dad told me to fight for my daughter and keep going. That’s how we were raised,” he said.

He added that his parents maintained a close relationship with their grandchildren. The family leaves behind two minors: the daughter of Pako GT and the son of Boris Tello.

The content creator lamented the way his family members died.

“It was not the way they deserved to die. You expect your parents to die due to illness or age, but not like this,” he said.

Asked if he expects justice, he responded that his trust is placed solely in God.

“Nothing more than divine justice. Here they investigate, but in the end one knows nothing,” he said.

While family, friends and neighbors attended the wake, Pako GT stated that he will preserve the legacy of his parents and his brother through memories, the craft of the bakery and the affection with which the family made themselves known on and off social networks.
