Will you lose your license? The bar in Wisconsin that promised free beer the day Donald Trump dies

A bar in the state of Wisconsin that reportedly promised free beer on the day US President Donald Trump died has recently gone viral.

In addition to the peculiar promise, the bar, called Minocqua Brewing Company, has also attracted attention again because media such as Fox News Digital have reported that it could lose its license to sell alcohol.

According to US media, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue informed the company, which has two bars in that state, that it could lose its license on August 4.

At first it seemed that the decision was due to the controversial promise related to the president, but the Treasury Department points out that the company transported canned beer from Illinois without having the corresponding permits.

The popular promise occurred on January 22, when the bar published a promotion on its social networks in which it would offer free beer when Donald Trump died.

However, the president’s name is not directly mentioned in the publication.

In April, after the assassination attempt on Trump during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the bar posted: “Well, we almost got #freebeerday.”

Minocqua Brewing Company is owned by activist Kirk Bangstad, who recently said he will fight “tooth and nail” to keep his business open.
