The Public Ministry (MP) reported the capture of a notary accused of taking property from his victims.
He added that the search, inspection, search and seizure of evidence took place on Monday, July 27, in properties in zones 1 and 12 of Guatemala City.
According to the MP, the Special Cases Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the National Civil Police, captured the notary Miguel Á.
According to the investigation, the accused, allegedly “abusing the public faith inherent in his notarial function,” had continuously stripped real estate from its legitimate owners.
According to the MP, the suspect’s way of operating consisted of making deceased people appear in public instruments with the purpose of “obtaining an unfair profit.”
He stated that, during the proceedings, the prosecutor’s staff collected evidence that will contribute to strengthening the investigation and clarifying the facts.
