“The result is rescued above the form”

Communications FC managed to defeat its eternal rival, the Municipal CSD on the afternoon of April 20 at the Cementos Progreso stadium and added a triumph again in the National Classics of Guatemalan football.

This victory broke a streak of three consecutive classics in which Municipal won communications, but a goal by Lynner García sentenced the triumph in favor of communications for the first time in more than a year.

On that, coach Albo, Ronald González spoke at a press conference on his team’s victory against the eternal rival, highlighting the work carried out by his players.

Among the things that stood out, was the attitude that communications demonstrated in the last weeks to be able to get out of a pothole and now be classified to the final phase of the Closing 2025.

Ronald González over the triumph against Municipal in the Classic 333

“For the duration of the tournament, it gives the opportunity for some (teams) to recover, like us. The team has responded, We have found formulasvariants that have helped us a lot, “he said.

“We are already classified, but I told my players this does not end here. Now more than ever we must be very careful, because we have two very complicated games to define in what position we finish in the table, “he continued.

On how he planned the match against Municipal, González said that his plan was “to do 30-35 minutes of high pressure, eliminate the municipal circuits and we did it, they have good players, when we diluted we decided to expect to get an advantage.”

About that, González said that “there are teams that have to retreat and suffer, it touched us more than we had thought and Here the result is rescued above the form“He said.
