On Wednesday, February 26, the Municipal Office for the Protection of Children and Adolescents of Mixco (OMPNA) revealed the case of a girl who died after being taken to the 22 company of the volunteer Firefighters of that municipality, apparently because of multiple blows to the body.

This Thursday, the 27th, the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) revealed that the cause of death of the little girl, Kataleya Díaz, is cranioesephalic trauma.

According to the testimony of the parents, the girl was taken to the Volunteer Fire Station because she was bad health, they said they tried to take her to a private hospital, but there they denied her attention.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the death of the minor, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) of Mixco initiated an investigation to establish or discard by scientific means the existence of some type of abuse, since the mother and the caretaker are indicated with each other by the death of the child.
