Lifeguards reported two acts of violence in Villa Nueva, in which two motorists lost their lives; Meanwhile, the Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Villa Nueva reported complications on the Raúl Aguilar Batres road.
Both events occurred in areas 12 and 6 of Villa Nueva, where the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry (MP) closed several streets for evidence collection, which complicated vehicular traffic in different sectors.
In the La Esperanza neighborhood, Zone 12, in the connection with the Búcaro and the Wholesale Central (CENMA), the municipal firefighters reported that a motorist was shot dead.
“Armed incident in sector C-2, in front of lot number 44, Colonia La Esperanza, zone 12, from Villa Nueva, where a 21-year-old man loses his life when he receives several impacts of a firearm projectile,” municipal firefighters reported on their social networks.
In another fact, in the La Heldos neighborhood, zone 6 of Villa Nueva, the departmental municipal firefighters transferred a woman injured to the emergence of the National Hospital of Villa Nueva; In addition, there was a deceased woman.
“The Municipal Transit Police of Villa Nueva informs them about an incident raised in the sector of the La Esperanza neighborhood, zone 12, specifically what is known as the return of the cocha. It is the connection between the Búcaro and La Esperanza, where a person lost his life when he was attacked with firearm projectiles,” said Hery Quevedo, spokesman for the PMT of Villa Nueva.
Quevedo added that the PNC completely closed the vehicular passage, so he asked people who regularly use the connection between the Cenma and the Búcaro to take into account that the step is fully closed.
“If you come from Cenma, you can only reach the Sector of La Esperanza; if you move from the Frutal or Marianita, the passage is closed from the Bridge of Prosperity,” he added.
The spokesman indicated that the authorities seek to prevent traffic accumulating in the Mezquital sector or in the 23 Calle de Villalobos I. Dalila Santos, spokesman for the PMT of Villa Nueva, said that the fact of violence will impact on the circulation, mainly from the 50th street to the Raúl Aguilar Batres road towards Cenma, so it recommended to follow the indications of the authorities to avoid more complications.
