Volunteer Firefighters reported that this Thursday, May 1, dolphin It was found on the banks of the beach Ixtan in Champerico, Retalhuleu.
They indicated that after the rescue, the copy was transferred to the dock of the place.
They explained that the dolphin has blows, so it cannot return for now to its natural habitat.
Firefighters with the help of residents groups helped the animal to transfer it to a safer place.
The transfer was in an ambulance and the lifeguards have been attentive to the location of the dolphin.
A similar case occurred in February 2024, when the National Civil Police reported that a dolphin was rescued on the shore of Champerico.
The dolphin suffered an injury, so he was rescued and evacuated to be transferred to a Marine Conservation Center in Monterrico, Chiquimulilla, Santa Rosa.
