Donald Trump generates controversy when publishing photo dressed as a potato prior to the conclave

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, published in his account of the social network social an image of his dressed as a potato.

The image of the US ruler was generated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and shows it with white cassock, mitra, golden cross and in an attitude of giving a blessing, with the right arm inclined to the shoulder height and the raised index finger.

The photograph appears while the Catholic Church prepares for the celebration of the conclave that will choose the new Pontiff next Wednesday, after the death of Pope Francis, which occurred on Monday, April 21, and two days after the president suggested that he would be a good option to occupy the throne of St. Peter.

“I would like to be Pope. That would be my number one option. I think it would be a great Pope. No one would do it better than me,” said the president on Wednesday from the White House.

With this image, Trump again generates controversy, since at the funeral of Pope Francis, held last Saturday in the Vatican, he broke the protocol by attending dressed in blue and not black, as the tradition dictates in these cases.

Trump has also expressed his desire that the New York Archbishop, Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan, one of the American prelates present in the conclave, is the next Pope.

“I must say that there is a cardinal from a place called New York that is very good. We will see what happens.”

The United States will have ten cardinals in the conclave, and Dolan has already participated in the 2013, in which the Argentine cardinal Jorge Bergoglio was chosen as a new Pope.

Dolan received two votes in 2013 and will be present again until the mystery of the new Pontiff is resolved with the white smoke.

Other of the American cardinals mentioned are Raymond Burke, considered one of the favorites in the most conservative sector, and Robert Prevost, appointed by Francisco Prefect of the Dicastery of the Bishops and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America, in addition to being a Spanish -speaking fluid.
