A website that appears to be the official Press Free Portal has disseminated false information about an alleged project linked to businessman Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez.

The portal, which supplants the identity of the official informative site, published content in which an income of Q32 thousand 150 per week is promised, allegedly derived from an investment project related to the aforementioned entrepreneur.
According to the apocryphal site, these income would be possible with a minimum investment. It also argues that the alleged project has already benefited more than 10 thousand Guatemalans.
It is not the first time that digital portals falsify the official free press site to disseminate misleading information. On previous occasions, it has been detected that these fraudulent pages reproduce visual elements such as design, logos and even the newspaper’s firm.
Cybersecurity experts explain that one of the most effective ways to verify the authenticity of a news is to review the electronic address (URL), since if it does not correspond to the official domain, the information can be false.
