Two men who allegedly would have reached the USAC to steal the ballot boxes of a union authorities were beaten on the Central Campus.

A group of workers from the University of San Carlos (USAC) valed on Thursday, February 28, two men indicated to have arrived at the Central Campus, in zone 12 of the capital, to allegedly steal the polls with the ballots of an election of the board of directors of a union.
That incident caused moments of tension in the USAC, as both men were beaten for several minutes.
From that account, the General Directorate of Administration of the USAC reported in a statement that the incident occurred this Friday during the election of the Workers’ Union, in front of the M2 building.
“The entrance of a Pulsar NS 200 gray motorcycle was reported with two people on board, who stole the polls of the electoral process and fled in the direction of the S3 building of the Faculty of Economic Sciences,” the statement details.
The document adds that the established security protocols were activated in this situation and the intervention of the National Civil Police (PNC) was requested.
“The General Directorate of Administration reaffirms its commitment to security within university facilities and respect for democratic processes,” he says.
