The Animal Welfare Unit (UBA), of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (Maga), received five complaints against a neighbor of San Miguel Petapa for allegedly have poisoned two dogs and a cat, They reported this Monday, Fuentes Official.
The authorities reported that the administrative process in this case has already begun and that on February 20 the denounced was notified.
According to the UBA, the denounced has a period of five business days to evacuate the hearing.
However, it was said that regardless of the hearing, the UBA will continue with the legal procedures to determine whether the imposition of a sanction corresponds, in accordance with the Animal Welfare Law and Welfare.
“The law establishes that abuse and animal cruelty are infractions that entail economic sanctions proportional to the seriousness of the act committed,” says the UBA.
