Authorities make operations on Monday to prevent overloaded buses and prevent accidents.

Authorities reported that on Monday, March 3, they carried out operations to avoid risks and vulnerability due to extra -urban transport overload.
Amílcar Montejo, road spokesman for the Municipal Transit Police, reported that the operations were in conjunction, the General Directorate of Transportation and with the accompaniment of the Human Rights Attorney’s Office (PDH).
He indicated that one of the objectives is to prevent passengers from moving in the buses of the buses.
He said they intend to prevent accidents such as the one that occurred under the Belize bridge on February 10.
The operations were on La Pedrera Boulevard, where they have detected four overloaded buses; In addition, about 50 people were surprised by traveling the parilla or the load area.
He said that these actions have spread to other sectors, especially in the areas of extra -urban routes. He added that they issued four fines.
