The president of the United States, Donald Trump, was shown on Tuesday, March 4, with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelenski, after having received a letter from this in which he said he was willing to negotiate peace with Russia and to sign the mining agreement with the US.

“Today early, I received an important letter from President Zelenski of Ukraine. The letter says: Ukraine is ready to sit at the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring a lasting peace,” Trump revealed in his first speech before Congress since he returned to power.

According to the president, Zelenski told him that he is “ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump” and that Ukraine is ready to sign the mineral agreement “at any time” that is convenient for the United States.

“I appreciate that I sent this letter, I received it recently,” Trump said.

As for Russia, he said he has had “serious conversations” with Moscow and that he has received “strong signs that they are ready for peace.”

In his speech, the president said he works “tirelessly” to put an end to the wild conflict in Ukraine “and accused European countries of spending” more money buying oil and Russian gas than he has spent on defending Ukraine. “

Trump appeared in Congress after blocked on Monday all military aid for Ukraine, including the one that was already committed to shipment.
