Due to the restriction programmed by the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV), the Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Villa Nueva announced the alternate routes.
“The advance in the rehabilitation of the passage in km 17.5 of the South CA-9, Ruta al Pacífico, Villa Nueva, has allowed to initiate the installation phase of the longitudinal beams of the superstructure of the new bridge. For this, it will be necessary to use large cranes, which requires a wide and safe maneuvering space. For this reason, a total closure will be made, ”the CIV reported in a statement.
According to the CIV, the road restriction is scheduled from Friday, March 14 at 10 pm to Monday, March 17 at 3.00 hours.
Alternate routes
Henry Quevedo, spokesman for the PMT of Villa Nueva, reported on the alternate routes enabled for different types of vehicles during closing at km 17.5.
The alternate routes with southern direction for light, heavy and collective transport will be:
- From km 15 to Real de San José, Villa Nueva, and then reach the Amate.
- Through the KM 17 tunnel sector, to join the departmental route 16 in the direction of Bárcenas.
“Once in the Amate sector, vehicles must follow the departmental route 16, which takes them to Km 21 of the Route to the Pacific, where they can continue their journey to the south,” Quevedo explained.
For transit to the north, the you will be an option; While light transport can use KM 19 of the Route to the Pacific, entering by beautiful view to connect with the Reformers Boulevard.
In the case of heavy and collective transport, KM 18 should be entered towards the descent of the Cross, in the direction of the Reformers Boulevard.
“The light transport that travels along the descent of the Cross must take the 2nd Avenue to go to the Concepción road. We ask drivers to be attentive to information on our social networks and respect the closures and deviations indicated by our traffic agents, ”added Quevedo.
The CIV reported that it will be coordinated with road protection to provide assistance and reduce the impact on alternate routes.
