This March 12, the Public Ministry, through the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Impunity (FECI), requested the capture of Henry León ÁlvarezGeneral Manager and Legal Representative of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Coffee Producers of Guatemala (Fedecocagua), due to a new case of corruption.

In a video, prosecutor Rafael Curruchiche reported that the Second Criminal Instance Court ordered Álvarez’s capture, accused of the crime of revelation of confidential and reserved information.

The prosecutor also indicated that raids were made in Fedecocagua to “obtain indications that support the investigation. “

“This person, without being procedural subject within the case called Asodefir, who is under judicial reserve, revealed confidential information before a jurisdictional body“Curruchiche said.

He also pointed out that within the Asodefir case the extradition of Carmen Rosa de León Escribano is pending, who, according to the prosecutor, He fled and is in Spain.
